Terraces and Apartments

This project is the redevelopment of a former timber yard / mill site over looking Browns Bay from the east coast bay ridge line. The project combines stand alone houses, terrace houses and an apartment block. Amenity for the complex is supplied by a swimming pool and common amenity building including gymnasium and changing / bathroom amenities.

Both the resource and building consents for this project were complicated and involved site contamination, geotechnical issues and extensive neighbor consultation and negotiation. The resulting form of the project was largely driven by the very clear ideas of the client and ultimately took several years to pass through a notified resource consent process, finally being resolved in the Environment Court.
